According to the University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report–2025 published by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Bartın University (BARÜ) ranked among the top 20 universities in Türkiye in 9 different indicators.
The University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report–2025, which includes analyses of 201 universities in Türkiye based on 67 different indicators, was released by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). According to the report, one of the most comprehensive evaluations of universities, Bartın University (BARÜ) ranked among the top 20 universities in Türkiye across various indicators, thanks to its achievements in quality and accessibility and its upward trend in international rankings.
The YÖK report evaluates universities under five main categories: Education and Training, Research and Development, Projects and Publications, Internationalization, Sustainability, and Community Service and Social Responsibility. Based on universities’ contributions to and development in higher education, the report announces the top 20 universities for each indicator. BARÜ ranked among the best universities in Türkiye in 9 indicators out of 201 universities.
BARÜ Ranks in the Top 5 in Two Indicators with Its Accessible University Initiatives
With its efforts to become an accessible university, BARÜ ranked among the top 5 universities with the most Accessible Flag Awards, holding a total of 40 accessibility flags and badges. In a list prepared based on the number of audiobooks and disability-friendly resources in libraries offering accessible information resources, BARÜ ranked 5th, with more than 1 million resources.
BARÜ Achieves High Rankings in Education and Training, Research and Development, Projects, and Publications
BARÜ ranked 7th among universities with the highest percentage of student satisfaction with course delivery, 13th among universities with the highest percentage of satisfaction with faculty members, and 8th among universities receiving the highest level of support under the TÜBİTAK Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB). In the indicator measuring student-led social responsibility projects, BARÜ ranked 12th with 214 projects.
With its notable success in international rankings, BARÜ ranked 13th together with 8 universities among the most successful universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, 13th among universities with the best rankings in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, and 18th in the indicator for universities in the Climate Action category of the THE Impact Rankings. In addition, BARÜ’s steady development was also reflected in the number of activities carried out by its Career Center.
